Healthy Pet Resolution #7 - Happy visits to the vet!

Ray and Finn were so excited to come to Winterville Animal Clinic for their annual wellness exams! Their favorite part was definitely the treats.

Here are a few ways to help your pets have a calmer, stress-free trip to the veterinarian like these boys!
- Touch your pet’s paws, ears, and face regularly. Reward their good behavior! Start slowly and be consistent.
- Take your pet on car rides to other places besides the vet. Give healthy treats to make this a fun experience!
- If your pet rides in a carrier, help them adjust to that in advance.
Bring their favorite toy to help them feel comfortable.
- You can wait in the car or come inside with your pets for their visit.
- If your veterinarian prescribes medications to help your pet stay calmer for vet visits, be sure to give these at the correct times and doses!
