Labor Day - Pet Safety Reminders

Winterville Animal Clinic will be closed Monday, September 1 in observance of Labor Day. Our veterinarians shared a few tips and reminders to help keep your dogs and cats safe this holiday weekend!

* Plan Ahead - Call our office THIS WEEK for medication refills.
* Emergency Care Information - Click here for after-hours emergency resources.
* Fireworks - Keep pets inside during fireworks and other stressful events. Be sure they have proper identification.
* Food Safety - Keep unsafe foods and hazardous items away from your pets. Ensure these items are in safe places out of their reach.
* Outdoors - Limit outdoor exposure during the hottest parts of the day. Ensure your pets have access to cool areas, shade, and fresh water.
* Hot Surfaces - Avoid hot pavement, sand, and other surfaces.
